What are Assemblies?

An Assembly is a formally established, permanent, virtual, dynamic group of Black Canadians meeting to discuss, debate and vote to reach consensus on, or make decisions about, a specific topic(s) important to Black Canadians. it's in Assemblies where Black Canadians determine our priorities, develop strategies and plan their execution.

Within Assemblies, Administrators or Members can create Debates to capture opinions and/or make decisions after debating.

Within Assemblies, Administrators or Members can put forward Proposals for consideration by the Assembly.

Assemblies can hold meetings, some are private and some are open. If they are open, it is possible to participate in them (for example: attending if the capacity allows it, adding points to the agenda, or commenting on the proposals and decisions taken by this organ).
